1) Operates power shovel that loads coal or rock into mine cars or onto conveyors in underground mines.
2) Drives rubber-tired, crawled-tread, or rail-mounted machine into working place.
3) Makes power connections starts machine.
4) Moves levers to force shovel into pile, lift revolve shovel, and dump contents into mine car or onto conveyor.
5) Advances machine into pile as digging progresses.
6) Lubricates, adjusts, and repairs machine..
7) Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
8) Manage own time and the time of others.
9) Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, organization rules, and the democratic political process.
10)Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
