Job Description The Finance Manager is responsible for the design, development and implementation of financial and management accounting reporting, internal financial controls, systems, reconciling accounts, , preparing financial statements, and performing variance analyses.

He is in charge of the supervision of accounting staff and provides assistance to the Group Chief Financial Officer as and when required.

Principle Accountability:

Responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the accounting and related activities.
Implementation and data maintenance of the selected accounting package, for the effective functioning of the accounting systems and processes in the Company.
Ensure the accuracy, timeliness and usability of financial reports.
Management of the Companys cash flow and the oversight of expenditure on a daily operational and project basis.
Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with the Companys financial and accounting policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
Establish and monitor internal controls and processes to ensure timely and accurate financial data and reports
Manage effectively accounts.
Prepare cash flow every week/fortnight and present to the CFO.
Prepare and present profitability and growth estimates and ratio analysis.
Deal and negotiate with bankers for borrowings, L/C, guarantees, foreign exchange, etc.
Ensure that the monthly balance sheet and consolidation of accounts are prepared and submitted to the CFO in a timely manner.
Review analysis of actual results to budgets and forecasts.
Prepare detailed reports pertaining to discrepancies and amendments that occurred in the budget, during the entire financial year in coordination with the concerned manager or partner of the subsidiary.
Direct, coach and mentor subordinates
Perform other duties as assigned by the CFO from time to time and may perform duties of accountants and accounting assistants in the assigned area in their absence.
Skills
Qualifications:

An undergraduate business degree in finance, accounting or business from an internationally recognized university is required
Professional qualifications in Accounting such as CA, CMA, CPA etc are essential. MBA or equivalent degree is highly desirable
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting in contracting field, with at least three years in a senior financial/accounting management position
Previous experience in the implementation and operation of an enterprise-wide financial and accounting package
Strong communication and organizational skills
Excellent demonstrable background of international accounting standard
Very good computer skills in supporting computer applications such as Word and Excel
