Chief Editor Job

Job Description:

*Key responsibilities:

-Bring in established writers while also identifying emerging writers

-Help to inform, establish and execute our editorial calendar

-Define and enforce editorial tone of voice

-Ensure compliance with global content guidelines and style guides

-Supervise, top edit, and approve all articles, include content from partner agencies

-Supervise article output of a creative team of copywriters and designers

-Lead content ideation sessions

-Develop story angles, nomenclature, POVs, storyboards, briefs


Skills:

-5+ years of editing experience, at least some in tech-focused journalism, ideally with several years managing writers and/or editors

-Passionate about great storytelling, as well as a love of style and technology

-Strong editor whos a stickler for top-tier editorial standards and quality prose

-Organized and forward-thinking, ready to anticipate opportunities and troubleshoot the problem

-A creative and conceptual thinker who can lead work across a broad range of topics

-Experience creating editorial and branded content for leading national/global brands

-Excellent PowerPoint / Keynote, Excel, Word, editing and proofreading skills

-Excellent team leader and mentor who inspires, nurtures and motivates teams to do their best creative work

-Excellent presentation skills and experience presenting.
